iirc google docs has everything you do, while Libreoffice it's only on your drive(s)

Just because Libre has all the office functions doesn't mean you have to use them. I have had it for years and only use it for writing documents and spreadsheets. But, the other features are available if I should need them. They don't take up all that much space on the disk.
