Richard....The name of this thread is "Technical Analysis-Beginners".Although we do have beginners who are anxious to learn, most of the posts are from guys who have spent hundreds of hours testing and improving to find what works.

Notice how many different approaches and indicators are mentioned in these posts.That's because we all have different time horizons and different risk tolerences.There is a high correlation between the various indicators so there is redundancy when you pile one on top of the other.

I favor using one strong indicator (Stochastics) across multiple time periods. What else is there besides PRICE and TIME? (Yes I know volume is in there but I've not had much success with that element).

I hope we can do the one or two stock routine (IBM and ???) that Dave and I have suggested.A lot of learning for all if we do that.
