[Chat-Richard] Thanks for the info. I had a reply ready & a power surge brought this computer down. Id buy an ups if I knew ADSL would be here anytime in the next few years. <g> Its so easy to become frustrated w/ all this while the cable guy digs up the yard & lays fiber. Ill be watching them this week & scratching my head w/ all the telco thoughts. The company here is using a Bay Networks cable modem. Ill try and find out whose cable they are laying. U.S. West continues to amaze me w/ yes we are, no we aren't. One thing for sure, they can play w/ the best of them. <g> Maybe the telcos are about to get the message because if I didn't need to interact w/ the pc's @ work I would be giving the cable companies a more serious look.
