They've been festering for 8 years. They have to work that out somehow. They also have a lot of reasons to be very concerned about what's going to happen after Trump takes office. It's a lot easier for them to keep looking back and celebrating, trying to amuse themselves by taunting others than it is start looking forward. That's because they fear the future just as much as the rest of us and would prefer to stay in the safe zone where their guy has won the election but hasn't started WWIII yet.
