bob: i have great respect for henry; no better anywhere, imho. i'll watch that 2350. i'm still open to the possibility that spx will march higher to spx 3000, maybe after a quick swoon from the 2400's. the p/e actually works. 20 x is doable in a low i-rate environment, which we are still very much in. spx $150 earnings next year is not too crazy, though the strong $ does hurt. the oil surge and the much better environment for financials could give a big boost.
