Democrats gained a net 2M in the popular vote compared to 2012 in just CA and TX. Also much closer in AZ plus strong wins in NV and CO. Was all about mobilizing just the Mexican American vote.. So overall that gain of roughly 3M was offset by 5M MOL they lost in the rest of the country reflected most importantly in every possible battleground and swing state outside of VA and NH that gave Trump a landslide in the electoral college. So founding fathers were right yet again on the electoral college best reflecting the will of the entire country and not letting the country be held hostage by highly concentrated regional interests. Want more proof look at the sea of red in the house across the country and how many counties nationwide flipped compared to 2012..
