Time and again, we can see the absolute brilliance of the Framers in protecting the whole from a majority who can be swayed from time to time by emotion and whim. Designing a barrier to the "tyranny of the majority" is an absolutely unreal accomplishment in retrospect. How did these people have the awareness to fight what must have been a very strong compulsion?

......the Framers.......Giants in their time.........GIANTS in any time

Yes so true. And is a hybrid of how we elect the Senate and House of Rep as well.. A true reflection of the will of the people developed well before CA even existed, the dynamics of SW USA culture and borders, and coastal liberal elites controlling the mouthpiece. Was a time long ago when middle America was balancing 'invasions' from Ireland and Germany tilting too much power to NY and PA and new immigrant interests..
