Obama was in on it too! His hatred of Hillary had it's way. He faked it, but watch his rallies for her election. He becomes downright mean and nasty. Actually frightening voters while still allegedly pushing her brand. It became evident to him that he had no legacy and it would have be horrifying if somehow she did better.
