LOL!

I cut my teeth on ICE's.

260's, 289's, 390's, 427's 460's

318's, 383's, 440's,

283's, 327's...

On and on and on.

Worked in a real garage during the summer months that helped get me through college while getting my physics degree and EE.

It's nice now only having to deal with electrons.

No hydrocarbons...

I did help a neighborhood kid rebuild his 1957 Chevy last year with a short block.

I showed him how to grind the valves and narrow the seats correctly.

Good ol 283 4bbl with the two speed Iron Duke (Cast Iron Powerglide).

The smell of unburned hydrocarbons to excess....

Just like my dad's 57 station wagon..

Those were the days!

What was that song??

gg .. you said this..

“”Elon should put the clock on changing out a drive motor on a Model S for comparison to above... Probably no more than a few hours.””

how wrong you were.

Pop the whole drive assembly out of Tesla Model S in HALF An HOUR ( about 20 min mark in video)

Of course this would rarely have to be done as longevity of electric motor is well known . Compare that to infernal combustion engine replacement .. days by “ expert mechanic “@ 120 bucks an hour.
