It is the racists desire to segregate our species, so they believe that shit. One of my degrees is in experimental psychology. 2) Not true, with intellectual exercise, just like with the body a mind gets stronger, smarter and can remember more and think faster. We are all born dumb. We learn to get smart. We are born with an animal brain. The trick is to change it to an existential mind. We are the only animal that can do that and is what makes us unique in the animal world. 3) I am saying society should provide free pre school for all children in the nation with a hot meal starting at 2.5 years old which would put the poor on an even footing with the rich. I have always stood with the poor and minorities and women and gays. 4) Modern psychology says no baby talk. Research done at Stanford and Columbia says the reason is that it is important to teach complexity to a child. We build the ability to think in complex terms and think and concentrate for long periods of time. The brain is always forming new neurons, but if the brain is not thinking they will NOT stick. The brain can be made strong with exercise, just like a muscle. The brain builds software packages which it uses to analyze questions in a more sophisticated manner e.g. contrast a doctor doing a physical, or you or I doing it-lol. It is not that the doctor is smarter, he learned that shit-lol. Animals which get inadequate stimulation when young are retarded for life. <<>>. The Bell curve is a bunch of nonsense. It assumes that we have one intelligence, one mind and that it is measurable. 1)So, once again, you believe in science as long as it doesn't conflict with your political view. The entire scientific FINDING of the book was that IQ is meaningful, measurable, and comparable across Demographics. Instead, you focus on the side effect which was the minor finding as to relative IQ across Demograpghics. It is the same, ignorant approach you use with global warming. >>. The one other variable that is very important, is when people are indoctrinated at an early age with nonsense, like myths that have no scientific backing e.g. religion, or racism, it can greatly hinder their ability to learn 2) You do understand that intellect and the volume of information retained (learning) are different, right? >>. hey did a study recently between rich kids and poor kids. By the time the rich kids are two years old, the poor kids are only operating at 18 months intellectually. By the time the rich kids are five years old, the poor kids are only operating at three years 3) So, what is your point? You are not trying to suggest that being poor detracts from intellectual growth, surely. Do, what are you saying? 4) *For the record, "baby talk" (called motherese) is not harmful in the development of normal speech. In fact, it is universal and occurs in practically all common language dialects, and is healthy parenting behavior. Young children's motor skills are not the same as those of an adult. And in fact, so called "baby talk" is often the parent's response to immature sounds the child makes.
