I I I have practically no crows' feet, and I've smoked since I was 18. Wrinkling depends chiefly on skin type and exposure to sun (I NEVER go without sunblock), though it's true that if you smoke you should be sure to drink a lot of water.

I believe smoking breaks down the collagen in the skin. Double blind studies have shown that people can pick smokers from non-smokers when shown photographs (not 100%, but statistically significant). As with alcohol, a constellation of physical manifestations appear in habitual smokers.

Carol,

Smoking and aging? I'll have to get back to you on this one. I can't say aything just now except that I break the rules and skate. But it may not always be so.

MSB, stay with it. I'm with you all the way.
