If someone wants to teach what they perceive to be the merits of creationism, like they do in religious schools, how does that cause harm?

What about those who don't belong to that particular religion? Creationism is most definitely a creature of fundamentalist Christianity. Creation science is not much better, despite attempts to make less overtly fundamentalist Christian.

Not to mention, it mal-informs students. If they have any aspirations to go into biologically related fields, it severely handicaps them.
