The truth. We know about it because we believe it is real. We can say things like the truth has been lost due to the media boiling down the facts to present a political message. We can call a man a liar because we believe he is attempting to deceive us about the truth. Even so, the truth cuts in and reveals something of itself, to the witness and even to the purveyors of lies it reveals something about themselves. Truth is that which exists without concealment, without illusion, with clarity of unadulterated fact. It seems we can’t stand to exist in its presence, so we veil it in dogma, ritual, ceremony, and charming little communities and camps of perspective. How you make sense of the life depends on your unique vision of things. The secondary view offered by any cluster of ideas is yet another layer between you and the raw mean truth of things, further you know it, because you believe it. The exposed truth is the most important and violent expression known to human beings. It implicates society, fuels the commitment to struggle, and is unbearable by those who’ve committed themselves to any Earth bound goal in this life time. In the midst of its revelation are found every tug and rip experienced by humanity, humbling titans empowering the meek, and spawning action great and small. Truth is to the mind as sight is to the eye. It nags us to lift the veil, un-key the lock, remove the topsoil, search the deepest oceans, the tiniest vibration of geometry in space, the largest phenomenon in space and the furthest stars. The path of truth is founded in reason and paved with purpose; we hide from it, deny it, fear it, or we bow to it because we can have no effect on its power over us. Scientists talk about the Truth. They use terms like "The bounds of science" or "Beyond the bounds of science," then we find them fiddling around just beyond what was once considered a boundary. That is where we find them making discoveries, like in AI, or Fusion, conscious awareness, supercolliders, etc., and then the boundary is moved out in ever increasing increments.
