Greg,,, Elmer is correct. ALI is still in the sampling phase with the chipset and the projected quantity release was not until sometime 1Q 98. Don't know what the ramifications of the AGP specification really are since no one has shown any significant measureable benefits (AGP vs. PCI) under the currently available implementations.

Elmer, re: Socket 7 chipsets don't do 2X AGP. Most of the new graphics cards don't support it either, because the spec for it is about to change, thanx to Intel. Petz
