Yeah, it was a simplification. But it's really kind of a simple thing. The guys that do this stuff aren't geniuses or anything. They're just guys that haven't been succeeding at anything and this is something they can do to feel like Big Shots. After the Civil War ended in the U.S. a lot of the guys from the South that had fought or just felt a kinship with the South banded together to fight their own war. It gave them a group they could BE with and be ACCEPTED by. They had NOTHING and now they had something. That kinda thing is NEVER going to end. You know, it might be better if we called those people TROUBLED rather than terrorists. Terrorist sounds like a big scary guy, but "troubled" just sounds like a guy that's a bit off and doesn't function very well. Probably be tougher to recruit guys if they thought they'd only be thought of as TROUBLED.
