Yes, if there were no guns it would mean none were available to the victims. Just because there are a great number of crimes and a great number of guns doesn't mean a lot of people had access to firearms at the time a crime was committed against them. Many cities where crime is rampant have strict laws denying conceal carry or open carry of weapons. I believe Montana has the best record on gun ownership, carry concealed or open(visible). Seems they have a lower rate of serious crimes against person per 100K population by a large %.

The biggest problem had by the left wing gun nuts is they live in a fantasy world. They say things like this: "If there were no guns is that irrelevant?" That question is what is irrelevant!!!! How far back in history would we have to go to get to the point there are no guns. You see, the reality is that there are guns. The military has guns. The police have guns. The thieves, murderers and terrorists have guns. The only people who have guns that will ever give them up are law abiding citizens when it is against the law to have them. Now I know there are some who would not obey that law and would become criminals rather than have no self defense against the thieves, murderers, terrorists, and any other who would harm them or strip their Liberty. All the laws only work on those who would obey them. The fact the gun nuts refuse to accept is that there are guns. There will always be guns. If no one has a gun the criminal will make one. This a genii that cannot be put back in the bottle. You can only take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens. Why do you gun nuts not see that? You say stupid things like "I don't like guns". "I don't believe in guns". "We should not have guns" What on this green earth are you talking about? Take the time to explain your position on gun ownership. Share with us your solution to the problem you see. Vague nonsense questions like the one you ask tells us nothing of your solution. I want to hear just what you believe can realistically be done to solve the problem you see.
