I think what happened was the agreement between Intel and Nv expired. I don't know why they wouldn't extend it. Either party could have gotten cold feet. Maybe Nv got greedy. Maybe Intel wanted to smoke the piece pipe with AMD. all speculation

Maybe so, that's why I said they need a design, not just patents. They already have NVidia's patents and what good did that do them? Some I guess but unless they get a design from AMD they might as well stick with NVidia, imo. Why empower AMD unless it really solves a major problem for Intel?
Maybe for something like six billion dollars. I know that sounds like a lot, but not totally unprecedented. AMD would be real dumb to give up their "Trump" card to Intel.

Intel could acquire Nvda. They would probably have to take Jens along with the deal. Those "of little faith" might see him as an upgrade..
