Trump to Fill More Than 100 Judicial Vacancies, Reshape Courts there are 12 SC, about 680 district and about 180 federal appeals court judges in the US..........assuming 25 year average terms, there are about 35 openings a year. Together with the current 100 openings, Trump could fill an additional 280 over the next 8 years for a total of 380/872 or 43% of the federal judges. The opportunity to reverse course is tremendous. We will see shortly what kind of judges Trump nominates. Obama appointed 329 in his 8 years. Can you imagine if there were enough "Never Trumpers" like the idiot Brumar to have swung the close election to Hillary?.......mind numbing stupidity and obstinacy on his part.
