The reason I was curious about your personal belief is the fact that 51% of scientist believe in a personal God, universal spirit or higher power. How can these thousands of scientist believe in something for which there is not one shred of hard evidence ? To use your own words and to state it simply. 51% of scientist believe in a personal God, universal spirit or higher power for which there is not one shred of hard evidence. How do you explain this? Certainly you would not say that 51% of scientist are wrong. You point to a bugus % of scientist believing something as proof that it is correct. Here we have a clear majority of scientist believing something and you say it is incorrect. It appears that you have a problem being consistent. You might also note that I did not ask if you believed in any religion. I ask if you believed in a personal God, universal spirit or higher power. To be consistent you must believe because a majority of scientist do believe. You have established your belief that the ballot box of scientist determines what is true and what is not. So based on your own reasoning there must be a personal God, universal spirit or higher power and you must believe it.
