Oh, cheer up RW. Aren't the most interesting periods of history are when there are wars, economic collapse, famine and chaos? What do you think the odds of a shooting war with China, now? Especially with Putin, imagining Russia is protected, lobbing bombs from the sidelines with cyber espionage, fake news and needling Trump? Do you think the Republicans can crash the global economy again? With the Great Casino roaring at new heights, fueled by sovereign debt denominated in foreign currency and consumer debt, it should be even more spectacular this time around. What about the EU breaking up? With both Putin and Trump on the job, that shouldn't be hard. And fake news. Who could have guessed that so many people are primed to believe obvious fabrications? We will have a president who loves conspiracy theories and obvious fabrications, and has surrounded himself with a bunch of appointees who are of a similar mindset. What could possibly go wrong? It is going to be exciting! Like a roller coaster! Without seat belts! Or a train wreck! Stuffed with explosives! All of those Ayn Rand supermen will get their chance to show off their innate superiority! Safety and security are over-rated anyway.
