The biggest thing he had to deal with was the economy. While it hasn't been a barn burner, it has been steady. A large number of jobs have been created. Many more than Bush43 even though Bush43 had continuous wars and a bubble. The US economy is today on sounder footing than any other major economy in the world.

I realize that GOPers love to point to the many conflicts in international affairs and claim that those are Obama's fault. However, if you ask what he could have to prevent these messes, they give no good answers. The fact is that ISIS is on the run and weaker than it has been for several years now. Obama's slow approach is better than the more ostentatious approach that I suspect Trump may take (or maybe not--Mattis does seem like he might be a good pick for Defense, we'll see, I am willing to have an open mind about him). Defeating a stateless enemy that engages in terrorist attacks and guerrilla warfare is tricky business. Furthermore, defeating an enemy that engages in information warfare as the Russians have been doing is even trickier.

I also realize that GOPpers like to say, Oh what a mess he has made of our medical system, and while I am not a huge fan of the ACA mainly due to the fact that it does not contain costs like it needs to, it has done some good things and the standard GOP answers to the problems of our medical system are either inadequate or absurd (tort reform, selling insurance across state lines, health care accounts, and something else I am forgetting offhand). I suppose we will see how inadequate over the next few years.

I appreciate the fact that Obama has avoided scandals -- although I realize that GOPers claim that there has been one scandal after another (e.g., Fast & Furious, IRS, Benghazi), yet after multiple Congressional hearings, none of these alleged scandals have amounted to anything at all. I will bet you a thousand dollar contribution to a favorite charity of the winner that Clinton will not go to jail or, most likely, not even be charged with any crime, as most sane people know that she didn't commit any crimes. And the whole Benghazi ruckus was another piece of fake news that was spread solely for political purposes by crazy people.

I will also bet that the deficit will go up substantially after four years of Trump budgets rather than mostly down as they have under Obama. At least, assuming that Trump gets tax cuts that resemble the top heavy cuts that he has been talking about. Obama has operated under the "First, do not harm" principle. Trump will not operate like that, any more than Bush did.

You still haven't replied to the CC points or the public/private relationships I made in an earlier post. I am willing to suppose that you are as tired of repeating the same things over and over as I became years ago.
