You do have to admit that Iran was the most pathetic act of failed negotiation you have ever seen. I guarantee you that you cannot defend ANY action that was taken there. Because no one could. It was utterly incompetence in every respect.

I saw Wendy Sherman, one of the chief negotiators of the treaty, defend very ably the Iran treaty against a Republican opponent of it. It is a complex treaty and a complex issue. Not suitable for a forum like this one and not amenable to simple slogans.

Nothing obvious about that at all. He lost almost a billion dollars in a single year. During one of the greatest economic expansions in the history of the country. The primary reason? He vastly overpaid for almost everything. That is not a negotiating skill I would call "great" except in conjunction with "incompetent".

I guess your standards are different.

What, pray tell, was an even mediocre deal he ever negotiated?
