That's what I am trying to TJ to understand. That plateau will follow the step where China ran out of steam. Keep in ind that when the world reached that plateau, US was trying to get rid of the inflation resulting from Vietnam War, US had gone off Gold Standard, England was en route to become a third World country... Brazil tried to defy gravity (late70s) when everyone accepted that the economic boom was over. It learned the hard way that one cannot try to be too clever for his own good. China is trying to defy gravity today and accept the bumps on the road. Witness the 6.7% GDP growth Quarter after quarter.
