Elmat has access to most of the same information you and I have access to about the US and China, and he also has experience working with our some of our nation's companies overseas that neither you nor I have. Can I be fairly certain IMF projections of incomes in China will prove to be wrong? Absolutely, but I believe they'll be less wrong than a similar projection from the Chinese government. Knowing so little about the true future incomes in China make that something I can't use as a basis for investment. I can invest in China based on other information, but not those income projections.
