there is so much over the top sensationalized criticism on this thread that it's hard to get something reasonable in without just toning down the stuff that's already posted I didn't have in mind this thread so much. I was thinking more broadly. And it was a serious question. It used to be that we had a loyal opposition. Thoughtful criticism was taken as thoughtful criticism. Even when criticism came from the opposing party, there was a presumption of loyal opposition. One merely corrected upon hearing it for partisan spin. Nowadays most commentary is pure crap but there is still some legitimate, thoughtful stuff in there. We are much worse off, doomed, even, if we don't have a loyal opposition and we can't have a loyal opposition if there is a presumption that no such thing exists, that all criticism is partisan crap, that all opposition is disloyal.
