I agree completely, we have refused to fight. I watched Obama come right out of the gates and lay down before a single punch was thrown e.g. he took single-payer universal health care off the table before negotiations even started and he allowed Lieberman to keep his chairmanship. He should have had Reid strip him immediately for treason and to make a point-don't fuck with me!

And then after that he blinked more than once with regard to threats that the Republicans would not raise the debt ceiling.

We have to fight. I live in a very red state, but over the last 40 years the Democrats have controlled the governorship more than the Republicans. And when we got into office for a few years in the 70s we didn't fool around with simple stuff, we used our power to work on the rules and regulations and pack the courts and shore up our power wherever we could.

When we passed the permanent fund, our sovereign wealth fund, we did a couple of things to make sure it was protected forever. We allowed no spending of the principal without a 75% vote of both houses of the legislature. That will never happen. And it is in the constitution. We make sure it's inflation proofed every single year first thing based on the CPI. And we allowed no investing in state, realizing that sooner or later the criminals would get at it. Our stuff is invested all around the world in everything from bonds to real estate. And we gave the residents a piece of the wealth.

I spent 30 years in politics in the state and have been in a 1 million political battles and I have watched governors over and over talk to their aids and point out somebody on the plane and say is he one of our guys? You are one of their guys, or you are one of our guys, and if he was one of our bad guys, he was still our bad guy-lol.

That is reality, and this vacant idealism we have been exuding for the last eight years is like pissing in the wind. That speech that Kerry gave this morning is a perfect example. It is totally meaningless. The minute Trump gets in he will just throw all that stuff away and bring out his steam roller's.

He wanted to give it because he worked on it for four years. Who cares, without the power to implement it?

The Obama administration wanted to pontificate, but the only thing the right wing understands is being wrestled to the ground. They are junkyard dogs and we need to be wolves.

Koan has been attempting to 'reason' with and 'educate' them on the unmoderated thread for quite a while now. No success so far, but, he claims it's the answer..

>> The problem is, the Right has their own, parallel media now. It started with talk radio. Then Fox and now the Internet.

Really? ROTFLMAO.

Let me make sure I got this. As long as the Left owned 100% of the media, it was cool. You had ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WaPo, LATimes, Miami Herald, essentially every significant newspaper in the country, you were good. Oh, except Rush Limbaugh.

Now, Fox News has changed all that. Suddenly, CNN running 24/7 TV shows bashing Trump from the beginning of the election until the end, that didn't help. Totally misrepresenting the facts the entire time, never once covering the race fairly.

One Internet outlet after another -- from HufPo, Slate, MotherJones, DailyKos, all the rest, bashing Trump. And still he wins.

Guys, I just have to tell you, you are totally barking up the wrong tree.

You had a lousy candidate.

Even YOU knew it. She was a criminal. She was old, tired, boring, politics as usual. She was a liar. And she was lazy as hell. Trump's out doing five or six campaign stops a day and couldn't management more than 2-3 a week for most of the campaign. She spent 1.2 Billion, the whole nine yards. Polls. Storefronts. People. Even criminals working for her to disrupt Trump events, pre-trained to sic the media on Trump supporters.

Oh, and she manages to get her hands on this bogus audio tape followed days later by an orchestrated cadre of a dozen bimbo eruptions, none of which really had anything to allege. No telling what they paid those women.

So, the list goes on. And you still have no idea where the problem is.

She hand-picked the wrong opponent. He was tough, he was convincing, he was success and a very hard worker. He could always give more than he took. And he told her that up front -- "I'm a counter-puncher. Don't punch me and you won't get punched back. But if you punch me it isn't going to end well for you." Exactly what happened.

Chicago Style politics stomped by Manhattan politics.

In four years, who knows? But for right now, it appears he is positioned to undo a lot of the damage Obama did, and perhaps more. The economy is already improving and everyone knows it. And they know it is because of Trump. The days of liberals claiming conservative's successes are over for now.

This is so fun to watch.
