Yousef,
IBM has leading edge process technology but they never applied it to the 6x86 or the MediaGX at the time it was leading edge. They save it for the PowerPC and other loser chips. IBM basically milked Cyrix for what they could get out of them. Just like they are doing to AMD now.
As a part of NSM, Cyrix's earnings will be embedded in NSMs earnings. By some extrapolation you may be able to figure Cyrixs part of it.
It will be a couple of quarters until Cyrixs contribution becomes relevant, IMHO. I'm sure there are some other opinions out there.

Jim

Yousef, Why do you call NSM a technology follower? Yes, they may be a few months
behind on the .25um curve, but remember this is NSM which is primarily an analog
shop. I would bet that they are running a lot of rather exotic, leading edge processes
for the RF, power chips, etc, etc. They probably have a lot more process expertise
than a LOT of other companies.

Lets see how many GXm products are announced at the CES and the next couple
of weeks before you label NSM a loser. I'm betting NSM is going to sell a LOT
of GXm chips in 98!
