I think you get expelled from the state if you don't have an SUV or a Pickup Truck. I think that Texas Truck Rodeo is a pretty lame event. I mean they don't even have truckasaurus:

I don't even know what that is.

We do have two pickups in our family. My wife drives the big one cause she buys a lot when she goes grocery shopping at Walmart. I like my small truck.

Robbers threaten to SHOOT everyone at a Waffle House, so a waitress gets her GUN OUT…

DEC. 31, 2016 4:46 PM BY SOOPERMEXICAN

Here’s yet another example of a bad-ass gun owner using their gun to shut down crime. Apparently three thug robbers gave a Waffle House waitress a note saying that they would shoot everyone if they didn’t hand over all their money.

So a different waitress went to her car to get a gun!

The waitress shot in the air as the robbers ran away to their cars.

From WSB-TV in Atlanta:

“She made it known she was ready to defend herself,” customer Ben McCoy said.

McCoy said he hopes the robbers learn not to come back.

“If a citizen can help prevent something from escalating by exercising their constitutional rights, I’m all for it,” he said.

Neighbors said the incident has raised concerns about crime.

Hopefully the police will capture these scumbags so that they can’t threaten the restaurant again. Or they try it, and get aired out like swiss cheese for their efforts.

Here’s more:

Three men ate a meal and then, instead of paying, gave the cashier a note warning everyone in the building would be shot if money in the cash register wasn’t handed over to the trio.

After they departed on foot, Stanley retrieved a gun from her own car in the parking lot and fired over the heads of the robbers.

“I wasn’t sure if they were coming back or not,” she said Friday afternoon following her dismissal. “I was in fear for my life, my co-workers’ lives, and I did what I thought was right.”

This second account sounds like she shot at them after the robbery after they ran off. Either way is good for me.

Here’s a news report about the story:

......

Unfortunately, the waitress has been fired. If someone starts up a GoFundMe, let me know, so we can support the gun-totin’ hero!!

Two Texas Residents Used Deadly Force to Protect Their Property(s) on Christmas
Posted at 5:35 am on December 30, 2016 by Jenn Jacques

Who hasn’t heard the saying, “Don’t mess with Texas”?

Apparently, these guys.

Police are investigating two separate incidents of homeowners using deadly force to protect their property this past Christmas weekend.

A homeowner in Kingwood, TX was in his home with his family Christmas Eve when he discovered his house had been broken into.

According to police, the incident happened around 9:45 p.m. Saturday on Longleaf Pines Lane when a resident noticed broken glass in a front window of his home.

Police said as he was checking out the glass, the homeowner noticed a suspect in his home. He then alerted his son who was also in the house with his wife.

The son, who carries a weapon, shot the suspect. He died in the home.

On Christmas morning, a homeowner in Fort Bend County’s Mission Bend area caught a glimpse of a robber by chance.

Fort Bend County Sheriff’s deputies tell us a man on Malin Court got up early Sunday to get a glass of water and noticed someone on his security system going through his truck.

The homeowner went outside, and saw something in the suspect’s hand. He didn’t know what it was and then, according to deputies, saw the suspect make a move toward his waistband.

That is when he opened fire, fearful the suspect had a weapon.

Police said the homeowner shot at least three rounds; 2 hit the suspect, and one hit a neighbor’s car. Fortunately for the homeowner, his neighbor, Michael Adams, isn’t too upset about the damage to his Lexus.

“I am sad about my car but you know we gotta look out for each other here because there have been a lot of break ins here,” Adams said.

Milwaukee Thugs Target Concealed Carrier, Earn Bullets

Posted at 8:14 am on December 30, 2016 by Bob Owens

Two armed criminals looking for trouble tried to rob a dog-walking Milwaukee man and discovered this it was the man who had the worse bite, in the form of a concealed handgun.

A man walking his dog Tuesday night near his home shot two people who tried to rob him, killing one and wounding the other.

Deonte M. Thomas, 17, of Milwaukee was shot to death and his 18-year-old companion was wounded, police said. The 36-year-old man had a concealed-carry permit.

The incident happened about 10 p.m. in the 6500 block of W. Euclid Ave. when the two robbers were driving around looking for a possible victim, Ald. Mark Borkowski said.

“Obviously these people picked the wrong person, but not everyone has concealed carry,” Borkowski said Wednesday. “We all get a sense of security because it’s our neighborhood, but we have to be diligent.”

The attempted robbery happened two blocks from St. Gregory the Great parish on Milwaukee’s south side in Borkowski’s 11th aldermanic district, an area that’s normally a quiet neighborhood, he said, but “I think it’s anywhere in our community.

“It’s my understanding these kids were looking for trouble. They had been involved in trouble prior to this incident,” Borkowski said. “To pick a guy who can defend himself has showed that regardless of whether you’re going to engage in this kind of criminal activity, you really don’t know. You may meet your match.”

The dead suspect and his wounded partner are the primary suspects in a robbery that happened just an hour before.

The concealed carrier stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. It does not appear likely at this time that he will face any charges in the self-defense shooting.

We intend to keep a close watch on this case, however, as Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn and Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm are no friends of the Second Amendment, and Flynn in particular has an intense dislike of citizens carrying firearms for self-defense.
