RE: New Zip Disks / SparQ's at Frys / Zip Plus / Buz / Jaz on TV. John,>> I was at a Rodelag store today and saw Maxell Zip disks, didn't know they were a co-brander of Zip disks. Is this new or have I just missed seeing their name before. << I'm not sure about the Maxell Zip disks. It seems like they've been co-branding with the others. I was in Fry's this evening, and as I was standing in the infinite checkout line, I was thinking "wouldn't it be nice to have Zip disks right here in the checkout line with all of the other impulse items?" Seconds later, I noticed the Iomega logo and some colorful disks hanging at one of the checkouts. I quickly went and got one. It was a 2-pack of Color Zip's for $29.95!!! The packaging is simple and easily hung on shelves. It has the two disks side-by-side in a package with a cardboard back and plastic front, with a hole at the top to hang the packages. I'll scan it in and put it online if anyone is interested. While I was in Fry's, I looked around for the hidden SparQ's. I found 4 of them. They weren't hidden that well, so I found a new place for them. I couldn't find any SparQ disks. Someone must have hidden them really good! Zip Plus has been lowered from $199.95 to $169 at Fry's in Arlington, TX. I also asked the Fry's clerk about Buz. He said that it'll probably be a couple months because it was already delayed once. (I don't think he had any idea.) Another Iomega-related tidbit: I almost never watch TV. Other than to watch an occasional videotape or Cowboys game, I've probably turned it on about 10 times in the last 5 years. Tonight was one of those times. I watched a show called "Pensacola" while I was waiting for my laundry to finish. In it, they were using a Jaz disk (in a laptop!). It's great to see Iomega becoming such a household name! - Michael Coley - i1.net
