This is similar to what I played out in my imagination. I took a position early on, never T or H. Yet in any discussion of 'which is the lesser evil,' I find the mob declaring I am worse than either. I feel like the cop who enters a house where domestic violence is occurring. So, like everyone else, I feel the need to validate my position almost on a daily basis. Here is one example.
