Since you are a Star Trek fan you should know the answer to your question. It lies within the "Kobiashi Maru", the unsolvable question,
unescapeable situation. The key to the situation lies within what Capt. Kirk did when faced with it.
When faced with no chance you simply change the rules of the game.
In other words you don't compete directly with Intel as AMD has foolishly done but you create a new market...where you "are" market share.

Perhaps you are too young to remember ST TOS.
