Robert Gehl reports it’s hard to believe the City of Chicago – with its skyrocketing crime rate – has the time or the inclination to deal with plastic bags, but that’s what they’re doing.

Not once- but twice.

They’ve been tinkering with the plastic bag ban for some time.

Back in August 2015, they imposed a complete ban on plastic bags – those flimsy things that hold about two bananas and a bottle of water before they burst.

But retailers got around that. They’d start handing out thicker, sturdier bags and call them “reusable” bags, that don’t qualify

Sneaky, huh? Well, nothing gets past the City of Chicago. So now they’re going to repeal the “bag ban” and impose a seven-cent “tax” on all plastic bags.

Concealed Carrier Kills Armed Robber In Windy City Gunfight A pair of armed robbers targeted the wrong man in a South Side neighborhood Friday in Chicago, sending one into a dead sprint and the other to the morgue. A man with a concealed-carry license fatally shot a would-be robber in Chatham Friday afternoon, sources said. The 23-year-old man was walking in the 8200 block of South Ingleside about 1:54 p.m. when another male pulled out a gun and tried to rob him, according to police.
