Jeff, thank you for the link to Datron. I'll start doing my homework on them this week.

Jeffrey. From what I was able to discern from their website, futuretrack's product can switch from one satellite to another with the push of a button which would seem to solve the problem of multiple satellite tracking needs. They didn't post any prices on their site so it isn't possible to tell whether they are in the same class as datron, although datron seemd to have several more products.

Keeping the focus on echostar, I am trying to find an entry into this stock, but techncially it looks like it could go to 20 or as easily to 10. The other stocks I am now following in the satellite field are Loral and Orbital.

Does anybody else recommend any other stocks in the satellite field?

An earlier poster was asking for comparisons on the competing satellite tv providers. I would like to get a system for my home and can't differentiate between Primestar and Echostar. Is there any real difference?

Dish tracking is not enough, you need the DISH receiver to tell the dish to move based on what channel you have selected. As far as I know my DISH receiver does not have an output to control dish pointing, so they (DISH brain trust) must have something else figured out, I hope. Plus, what if you have 2 receivers in the house, and each one tries to watch a channel on different satellites? Cant do this with only one dish can you.

Someone from DISH that is luring on this thread please post the answer to this problem.
