Miniature flash card is the name of the flash card from Intel. The article didn't say why they favor the miniature card over CF or SmartMedia, so I suspect this is a misnomer. They probably meant to say they favor cameras which use those small flash cards over the ones which use floppy disk. Anyhow, I am not too concerned. The Miniature Card from Intel has even smaller market share than SmartMedia from Toshiba.
