Sparky, having owned both of these stocks and still owning a little OAKT I'm not sure what you mean by "the same business". OAKT would like part of the business that CUBE is in, but, they don't really compete in the areas that OAKT is generating revenue now. Also, if you want a reason to own OAKT versus CUBE, consider that at $7 a share, OAKT has nearly 40% of that amount in cash. CUBE is no where near that ratio. In my mind this makes OAKT much less risky on the downside.

Hello, Sparky65. Here are several differences between Oakt and Cube that I can think of. Cube has probably bigger exposure to Asia since it generates most of revenus currently from vedioCD chips sales, whereas although Oakt also sells most of its products to asian companies, most of its products come back to the US in complete CD Rom's. Oakt also has more diversified product lines, whereas Cube's product lines are much narrower. In short term, there are probably more uncertanties with Cube than Oak. Just my opinion.

Despite the above, I would not average down on Oak at this point. I would rather look for other opportunities. After the year end correction, there seem many good selections now.
