I understand why people become that way. But there just isn't any basis in fact for it. Almost all politicians are well-meaning -- certainly GWB was. Even Obama for the most part was. Although last week's hate-storm toward Israel is inexplicable without a dash of cynicism. I just believe they're all doing what they think is right, even though some of it is terribly misguided. Obama may want to "put America in its place" but nevertheless it is a place he thinks makes everyone better off. Idiotic, of course, but that is a different concept.
