Honey_bee,

You didn't ask me, but I bought a new HP Envy printer several months ago and I have been very happy with it. It has bigger ink cartridges and they seem to last longer and the cost about the same as the ones for my old printer.

FWIW

Blessings,

JRH

I like Epson, but all the HP ink printers I bought, the print heads are in the ink cartridge. Thats the good part as you will always have new heads everything you get new ink. I don't think your printer will be Windows 10 compatible, best thing to do is visit the HP site look up your printer and see if there are drivers for Windows 10.

If a black and white printer will satisfy your needs, this combination printer/copier/scanner is a great deal at Amazon for $55.99 and has free shipping and is compatible with Windows 10.

I have one and have liked it very much.

Honey_bee, several years ago I got tired of replacing the printer/scanner combo when only the printer failed. I now use a separate flatbed scanner and a cheap Canon inkjet printer. The scanner is Epson Perfection V30 [no longer sold but the V19 looks similar and is $61 at Amazon]. The Canon printer is the IP 2700. Frys had it on sale for $20 [twenty]. I don't print much and only buy genuine Canon ink cartridges. Life's too short to struggle with cheaper refills or replacements.

The printer feeds sheets vertically, so gravity helps. Some printers feed horizontally - pulling the paper in with rubber rollers. That sometimes fails.

PS: At one time Kodak printers promised less ink usage and I got one. Great when new but troublesome within months. Never Kodak printers again.
