Instresting news on the Microsoft deal...

As per recent Ad blitz...
(1) I agree -- this is a clear signal that this quarter was in the bag -- with cash to spare.

(2) But, I find it hard to believe it was money well spent -- although it probably went over well at Tom's Rose Bowl party. It may actually indicate a weakness in the long-term sales pipeline.

However, if I'm wrong, (and the ads were placed on strength, not weakness) then it looks like Tom's gearing up to push SEBL into the 1B revenue plateau.

I heard the Micosoft deal is down to Siebel and Aurum/Baan with Vantive and SAP really trailing. Apparently Aurum's new (yet to be released) software is as Microsoft centric as you can get.

Clam, Network TV terms are net 30. Do you think Tom paid cash in advance or are accounting rules specific about expensing in-quarter??

I sold network TV time for 20 years and should probably know this, but I don't.
