In response to your writeup on LinkedIn my remarks - and trust me the shirt color does not matter <GGG>

Elmo with all due respect, just changing language it does not do it, and even if you bring in talent and diversity there is no guarantee they will be accepted or integrated within the company. Any company that wants to survive must adapt to the global market, and of course diversity helps, but to do this successfully, the whole organization from top to bottom must embrace the concept, and culturally it is quite difficult IMHO with the Chinese people.

My impression is that they are slow to adapt IMHO and for this best look at the simple things - the way they eat, wash or go to the toilet or what type of medication they take (grinded rhino horns as medication says something to you?).

Few modernised well educated middle and top manager do not change a company culture it is much more complicated the bigger the company is.

How to do it is a long and complex endeavor but true you need to start somewhere from the top but also from the bottom - I did that but in a much smaller scale in the US and from the bottom and may be that is why I succeeded - also size of the company does matter .

BTW - I agree to "close doors after 8PM" I will do it even earlier, after an average of 10-11 hours of intensive work your brain needs to relax (it is individual but I think this is the average).
