China is the unification of several countries (similar to the slavic countries) that happen long ago, I think 220–206 BC. The difference is that the Slavic tribes part of which were conquered by Kiev Rus, which are Varangians from Scandinavia an off-shot of Vikings of the worse type. In contrast to China, most Slavic tribes gained independence from the Varangians, which established Kiev Rus and is now Russia and those Slavic tribes established their own countries, from little Slovenia to Poland and Belarus. Ukraine is also a combination of several nations with an Slavic Ukrainian core after they got rid of the Rurik dynasty only to be sold back by an analphabet and idiot called Khmelnitsky whose statue is still in place in Kiev. Those Slavic tribes that are now Russia are very different from the rest of today Russia,starting eastwards from the Volga starting with Komi,Tatarstan,Udmurtia, Bashkortostan etc., and more so the Ural mountains where many nations still have their own language even that they write cyrillic. For example the Volga Bulgars were kicked out of the Volga region to today Bulgaria, Atila swept over into Hungary and Finland. So Europe have the diversity of the ancient slavic tribes in contrast with China that was able to be quite oppressive and have a monolithic culture and rule mostly by intimidation and terror. Luckily for the Russians was the Mongols keep the Chinese at bay and limited their expansion to the east and north which is not so attractive as the south.
