Da Cat in Da Hat, You've got Frank Buck Sr . all wrong! His motto was "Bring 'em back alive"</b?. Albeit after hunting and killing a few tigers in India along the way... However Frank Buck was then able to evolve from his blood-thirst stage and become a true capitalist. He realized that the thrill was in the chase..not the actual kill. He also learned that there was BIG money to be made in the live capture and sale of your feline brethern among other hooved, tusked, and clawed animals. Their demand by circus and zoos' was extremely high and their supply extremely low. Mr. Buck fashioned a specialized niche for himself by using his hunting knowledge, and considerable expertise of the flora and fauna he had hunted, to live-capture and sell these exotic animals. His efforts were in large part responsible for allowing hundreds of thousands of spectators to view these magnificent animals in local national and international zoos'. The ramifications of his later work no-doubt inspired many impressionable youths to later become animal-activists. So as you can see Frank Buck Senior was an American Hero and an original Conservationist. Some of his other many qualifications included; environmentalist, gunsmith, labor-director, multi-tongued linguist, historian, economist, business-man, geographer, explorer, non-degreed mechanical engineer, astronomer, culinary-expert, trapper, transportation and relocation-specialist, botanist,medical-technician, beside being a world-class hunter. Frank Buck motto = I couldn't care more! Hope you have a clearer picture of Frank Buck Sr. PS: I like your hat, I own several various color configurations.
