In my youth I lived in a Tee Pee for some time and did reforestation work. I lived on a commune that had a honey bee economy and lifestyle for quite a while. Everyone I knew personally was genuinely liberal. The word 'mellow' was used a lot, too much probably which would explain it's relative obsolescence. Yes, occasionally my friends would get all zealous and loud, for which the term 'mellow out' got exercised. I understand the meaning of liberal, a term you frequently abuse. Your tendency to say "we liberals" to preface a comment is especially nauseating. This was how I related to my liberal friends in my youth... at least in the virtual sense: I've enjoyed my retreat to to a lifestyle of solitude in my elder years, which is a relatively transgression free conservative life style.
