Lying is an important component of their tool kit. Information is their currency. They never part with any of it unless they have a reason. It is impossible for a citizen to understand their motives for releasing information, or whether it is true or untrue. We need to hear less from them. We would be better off with legislation turning these agencies into black boxes with extravagant penalties for anyone supplying any information to anyone not explicitly designated by the President.
