The Greeks invented the objective view of the world that gave us science, history, mathematics, and medicine.

Yes, they did. I never really understood the depth of Rand's understanding of Plato and Aristotle until I connected the constant re-appearance of Aristotle in the rise of our civilization during times of science and reason's ascendancy in our history. This happened when I applied her "off the cuff" statement to the publishers of the ATLAS SHRUGGED book's salesmen about everybody waking up with their POV of Metaphysics, Epistemology and Ethics running as their Firmware.

1: WHERE AM I?

2: HOW DO I KNOW IT?

3: WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Then I contrasted the POV of Plato's with Aristotle's and realized that Plato was wrong on the first two and Aristotle was right. Our STEM subjects run on Aristotle's POV. That this is the real world and reason is the way to deal with it. I confirmed this using Wikipedia.

Our Philosophy Profs will ALWAYS put Plato's POV on top. That we live in a cave and see the real universe outside and that reason is of no use. They are mainly Liberal Arts majors.

Politically, the Left runs on Plato and the Right runs on Aristotle. Our industrial civilization runs on Aristotle. There is a constant battle going on between the two POV's for control of our Society.
