Coal really doesn't make sense... It's simple. For power gen... Then again wind, solar etc are all being put under centralised stewardship.. Better to have more distributed systems... but how can the government tax that :))

Presumably you just make stuff up. I'm not in favour of coal over gas or wind or waves or photovoltaic or cellulose or insulation or electric cars or diesel or petrol. It's just a matter of technology and economics which is better for a particular time and place.

If methane is cheaper than coal then people will use that. If it isn't, they won't. How did Big Don get into the act and why do you think I have some preference for one or the other?
