It was a pleasure watching Ray's entire career at UConn. He was my favorite player in the pros. His game-tying three-pointer for Miami in game six against San Antonio to force OT (where Ray hit two clutch foul shots in OT to seal it and force a game seven) saved Lebron James-- who was then not considered a clutch player and had in fact missed key shots down the stretch.

That letter to himself is the greatest thing I have ever read to an aspiring young athlete. Of any age, sex, or race.

I wish every single member of my Denver Broncos would read it. But I have a hunch that most of them, especially the best, like Miller and Ware and Thomas, already know it.
