Society has supported the argument that the fetus is a person when the woman chooses to keep it and then someone does her harm. In effect society through the legal system has said the woman gets to choose both whether to keep the fetus and whether its viewed as a protected legal person.

Mine is simply if I cannot be involved during the "choice" then I'm not involved at all.
