Great post,

We have very similar methodoligies. I like the patterns but like you not so much in the clasical sense. I Always want to see volume and be with the longer term trend indicators, esp. Dahl. For entry and exits I usually use TSF, S/R, and Gann. I pretty much trade the bounce and the breakout on strong stocks.

Yes, Dave is making up for lost time with those epic posts. It's nice to see them again. He definitely should write a book. He has a great writting style, especially for beginners.

Looking forward to Cleavland, land of the Cleaves.

David

"They will only work with certain types of stocks, and that is the point. Unless you are an day trader or extremely short term trader, you have to expect your system NOT to work with certain types of stocks." I like that and agree with most of your comments.. Re: divergences..use them to suggest some sort of change is looming but I wouldn't trade them without other evidence..Re Daves output..Probaby has that voice unit where you can dictate letters and notes<G>.
