Paul, I think you got the gist of what I'm saying. If you have the incentive to keep up with your field...(it takes a lot of time to read all the journals) you might as well be participating. Dividends? Sure, they are nice but a monkey can cash the checks. A monkey can't design a chip or teach others how to do it. You let one idiot at NSM who is no longer there bother you? Nah. Not many have the training to build things that can change the face of mankind. Just drop back in from time to time to rub shoulders with those from other walks of life like myself who don't know jack about designing chips. Never know when or where an idea might come from. Not from me...but someone. Jim
