Re -- Then agian, there are margins that allow the Compaq to easily sell at $699 or $599.

But no money for Cyrix R.I.P. Boy I'll bet Brian Halla did not know what he got into when he bought Cyrix eh?

You're right. WSJ is reporting that they won't be available til later this month. It's also reporting that Cyrix and AMD based Presarios will be introduced Tuesday. No shipping date.

If low-cost PCs are viewed as getting hotter than they already are, sub-$1000s will be getting even more media attention this coming year.
Good for that market.
